On February 24, 2026, the BVMW Thuringia hosted the annual kick-off of the Thuringian economy at the Victor's Residenz-Hotel Gera. The event brought together numerous guests from various industries and offered a strong platform for inspiration, networking and strategic exchange.

Representatives from business, associations, politics and science discussed current developments, economic trends and the prospects for Thuringia as a business location. It became clear that SMEs are facing major transformation tasks - and enormous opportunities at the same time.

The focus was particularly on digital transformation, the responsible use of data and the potential of artificial intelligence. Topics that are also firmly anchored at FIDA. With our technical and specialist expertise, we support companies in implementing innovations in a practical way and creating sustainable competitive advantages.

Our colleague Stefan Meyer-Schwarz was on site, held numerous valuable discussions and took away important ideas for future collaborations. The direct exchange with regional players is a central building block for us in order to align technological developments closely with the needs of SMEs.

On 1 October 2025, Lisa Heß, Björn Marz and Dr Simon Kroll attended the 7th Thuringian AI Forum in Erfurt, which was organized by LEG Thüringen. Despite the frosty temperatures in the rooms of the Comcenter Erfurt, the event attracted numerous participants and provided a platform for exciting discussions about the future of artificial intelligence in Thuringia.
