Christoph Ehrling's professional journey began in 2007 in the historic city of Göttingen, where he began his studies in psychology and successfully graduated with a Master of Science (MSc.) in 2013. A striking point in his academic career was his studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, an experience that significantly shaped his perspective on science and learning.

During his studies, Christoph discovered his passion for entrepreneurship and founded his first company in 2010. For over a decade, he dedicated himself to working as a data scientist and trainer, specializing in particular in the programming languages Python and R as well as IBM SPSS Statistics/Modeler.

His enthusiasm for data led him deep into the world of classical inference statistics, classification methods and natural language processing. Christoph also gained extensive knowledge in the areas of ETL, business intelligence and process mining.

He has been head of Data Solutions at FIDA since 2020.

Christian Luther

Team Leader Data Integration

With a Master of Science in Computer Science and more than 15 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing, Christian Luther is a recognized expert in the world of data integration. His extensive professional experience is reflected in his in-depth knowledge and skills in analyzing, managing and optimizing the processing of large amounts of data.

Christian has been working as a team leader in BI/Data Integration for over ten years. In this role, he is responsible for teams and projects with a focus on ETL development in complex system environments. His leadership skills coupled with his strong technical know-how contribute significantly to the development of efficient and innovative solutions in the area of data solutions. His specific expertise in the area of IBM Infosphere Information Server distinguishes him as an outstanding expert in this field.

Christian Luther not only combines extensive technical expertise, but is also characterized by his clear and understandable communication of complex technical concepts. This makes him a valuable member and experienced trainer in our training programs.

Tobias Venn

Data Scientist

Tobias Venn combines in-depth knowledge in data science and economics with practical teaching experience. His academic background includes a Master of Science in information-oriented business administration with a focus on statistics, making him an expert in quantitative methods and data analysis.

Already during his studies, he showed his talent in imparting knowledge by working as a lecturer in statistics. In addition, he supported his fellow students as a tutor in the subjects Personal Finance and Financial Intermediation and Regulation, which underlines his ability to teach complex subjects in a clear and application-oriented way.

In his professional career, Tobias started as a Data Scientist at C&S Computer und Software GmbH and spent 2.5 years there before joining the FIDA team. At FIDA, he has been using his expertise for almost 2.5 years to help analyze large data sets and contribute to the development of innovative data-based products and services.

Florian Edenhofner

Data Scientist

Florian Edenhofner holds a Master's degree in Food Technology and Biotechnology from the renowned Technical University of Munich. Through his academic career, he has acquired extensive knowledge in these cutting-edge and interdisciplinary scientific fields.

Florian wrote his master's thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology IGCV, specializing in intelligent agent systems. This work underlines his ability to understand and practically implement complex technological concepts.

Gillian Kant

Data Scientist

Gillian Kant, an accomplished data scientist and aspiring PhD in Computational Linguistics, is a pioneer in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) at the University of Göttingen and at FIDA. His research focuses on the interface between advanced machine learning and the automation of language processing, with a particular focus on the application and optimization of topic modeling.

Since 2020, he has been using his expertise in data-driven modeling to train and introduce emerging talent to the world of generative AI, text mining and AI-powered decision making as a data science trainer. Gillian is a pragmatic technologist who develops data-driven solutions to real-world problems.

Dr. Simon Kroll

Data Scientist

Simon Kroll is an experienced data scientist specializing in the interface between natural and artificial languages such as Python. Dr. Patrick Dylong

Data Scientist

Patrick Dylong is an expert in data science and statistical analysis at FIDA. He holds a PhD in Finance and Economic Statistics from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. During his academic career, he has presented his research findings at numerous European conferences and published in internationally renowned journals. He has also trained economics students in statistical analysis and finance.

Patrick combines his academic experience with extensive knowledge of data science, machine learning and mathematical statistics in the languages R and Python. Since 2023, he has been contributing his expertise to FIDA in various projects in the field of Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models.
