AI roadshow in Erfurt: business, sport and innovation in harmony

With his vision of uniting the networks of the BVMW Thuringia, the ice hockey club TecArt Black Dragons Erfurt and us at FIDA, a unique format was created that combined innovation, practical relevance and a passion for sport.

Artificial intelligence for SMEs - practical and tangible

The technical core of the event was the workshop held by our Lead Data Scientist Chris Ehrling. In his presentation, he gave a practical demonstration of how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can develop and successfully implement a tailored AI strategy. The focus was on presenting artificial intelligence as an accessible tool - not a luxury project, but a technology that can be introduced step by step to make routine tasks more efficient and create real added value. Most importantly, getting started with AI does not require a lot of resources or expertise. Instead, the aim is to dispel fears and demonstrate concrete, practicable approaches for SMEs.

Insights into the world of ice hockey

In addition to imparting specialist knowledge, the event also offered an exciting look behind the scenes of ice hockey. Christian Fischer, Vice President of TecArt Black Dragons Erfurt, took the participants on a journey through the club's rich history - from the legendary "Kartoffelhallen" to the modern professional structure that characterizes the club today. This link between business, technology and sport underlined how important innovation can be in areas such as professional sport.

A thrilling finale on the ice

The highlight of the evening was the exciting ice hockey match between the TecArt Black Dragons Erfurt and Bayreuth. The spectators witnessed a thrilling match in which the Dragons were able to celebrate a well-deserved victory - a perfect end to an all-round successful evening.

Thanks to all those involved

Special thanks go to Ringo Siemon from BVMW Thuringia for the excellent organization and to all partners and participants who made this event possible. The AI Roadshow in Erfurt impressively demonstrated how different disciplines can work together to share knowledge, strengthen networks and open up new perspectives.

At FIDA, our aim is to make artificial intelligence accessible to everyone, reduce fears and show companies - especially SMEs - concrete ways in which they can benefit from AI. The first stop of our roadshow was a complete success and we look forward to continuing this format in order to promote the exchange between business, technology and society in other regions as well.
