The joint annual reception of the IHK Erfurt and HWK Erfurt was a real highlight for the Thuringian economy this year - and FIDA was there for the first time. The event provided a great opportunity to talk to companies, associations and political representatives, discuss current economic policy issues and make valuable contacts.

The presentation by Sigmar Gabriel, former Federal Foreign Minister and SPD Chairman, was particularly impressive. He analyzed the economic and geopolitical situation of Germany and Europe in clear terms - a perspective that was thought-provoking and sparked many discussions afterwards. His assessments on energy policy, the shortage of skilled workers and Germany's competitiveness reflect challenges that also concern us as an IT service provider.

Our conclusion: The annual reception once again demonstrated the importance of exchange and networking in the region. Thuringia is a business location with great potential that can be further strengthened through cooperation and a spirit of innovation. We look forward to incorporating the impetus gained into our work and continuing to drive forward digitalisation in Thuringia together with strong partners.
