FIDA at the 25th Lecture Day of the IFVW in Leipzig

25 years of Lecture Day - exchange and innovation for the insurance industry

SCROLL

On 5 March, we had the opportunity to participate as an exhibitor at the 25th Lecture Day of the Institute of Insurance Science (IFVW) at Leipzig University. This well-established event brings together experts from science and practice every year to discuss current developments and challenges in the insurance industry. Our team, consisting of Björn Marz, Lisa Heß and Torsten Nietz, was there to listen to exciting presentations, make new contacts and exchange ideas with experts from the industry. The discussions on digitalisation, AI and regulatory changes were particularly impressive - topics that are also of great importance to our work at FIDA. A big thank you goes to Prof. Dr Fred Wagner for his excellent moderation and to the entire IFVW team for their professional organisation of the event. We look forward to further inspiring discussions and future collaborations!

Exciting insights into the world of insurance

The lecture day offered a variety of high-calibre presentations. Klaus-Jürgen Heitmann, Spokesman of the Board of Management of HUK-COBURG, presented his perspectives on the future of mobility and motor insurance. Julia Wiens, Executive Director of BaFin, shed light on the regulation of artificial intelligence in the insurance industry. In addition, topics such as rising healthcare expenditure from the perspective of private health insurance, the coverage of climate risks and the challenges of attracting investors for insurtechs were discussed in depth.
