Data science courses for Fraport and R+V
Together with university4industry, we launched the concept of a multi-stage training program at the beginning of 2025. The aim is to provide Fraport and R+V employees with targeted training in data-driven skills - from a solid foundation to the independent development of AI models. At Fraport, the offer is part of a larger, company-wide data literacy program.
Program structure
The program comprises three clearly defined courses that address different target groups and build on each other:
BI Analyst: practice-oriented SQL training for reporting, data queries and standard analyses.
Data Analyst: Introduction to data processing with Python - from data preparation and exploration analyses to initial evaluations.
Data Scientist: In-depth training for IT and tech roles with the aim of independently developing and training AI models.
Schedule and implementation
Planning and conception: since January 2025, in close cooperation with university4industry.
Program start: Spring 2025 as part of the data literacy program at Fraport.
Implementation:
BI Analyst and Data Analyst courses have already been successfully offered and implemented twice each.
The Data Scientist course has been in its first iteration since 20.01.2026.
Scaling: All courses are designed as recurring offers and are held several times a year.
Collaboration and added value
Co-design with university4industry: didactics and content were developed jointly to meet the needs of Fraport and R+V precisely.
Consistent learning paths: Role and level-appropriate modules enable teams to be trained according to their individual maturity levels.
Sustainability: Recurring course series and iteration loops ensure that content remains up to date and experience is directly incorporated into the next iterations.
Results and outlook
With the modular course portfolio, Fraport and R+V are creating a reliable basis for data-driven decision-making and the practical use of modern analysis methods. After the first multiple runs of the basic and advanced courses, the focus in 2026 will be on deepening the data scientist track and further scaling the training for additional employee groups.
