24th lecture day
...Of the Institut für Versicherungswissenschaften e. V. at the University of Leipzig
The Institute of Insurance Science at the University of Leipzig held its annual lecture day for experts and interested parties from the insurance industry on March 7.
This was opened with a presentation by Ludger Hanenberg from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), who addressed the latest developments regarding Solvency II. This key topic is of central importance for the insurance industry and was met with great interest by the participants.
Another highlight was the presentation by Jürgen Stoffel from Hannover Re, in which the use of generative artificial intelligence in the insurance industry was highlighted. Stoffel's presentation clearly showed parallels with FIDA's strategy as part of our Strategy4Data model and underlined its potential.
A panel discussion on modern working environments and, in particular, the challenges faced by women in professional life provided valuable impetus for the further development of the industry. The discussion highlighted the need to rethink and adapt current working conditions in order to promote equality and equal opportunities in working life.
The lecture day ended with a successful evening event, which provided an opportunity for productive exchange and networking in a relaxed atmosphere. The participants enjoyed stimulating discussions, which were rounded off by the excellent catering.
Special thanks go to Florian Bauer for his professional moderation of the event and to the organisation team, who once again put together an excellent program.
We appreciate the opportunity to be part of the dialog that drives the insurance industry forward through such events. We look forward to the next lecture day and look forward to further opportunities for exchange and networking within the industry.
