On October 16 and 17, we took part in the AI Insurance conference organized by BusinessForum21 in Cologne. Our FIDAs Karsten Völzke, Bjoern Marz and Chris Ehrling were there to explore the latest developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning in insurance practice.
The topic "AI, ChatGPT, Machine Learning in Insurance Practice - Towards Data Driven Insurance! Use Cases, Competitive Criteria and Success Factors of the Future!" offered a revealing insight into the ongoing digitalization of the industry.
Over 100 participants listened to the inspiring presentations and discussions. An encouraging signal that the insurance industry is on the right track to fully exploit the potential of artificial intelligence.
Our colleague Björn draws an extremely positive conclusion: "Many have presented ChatGPT as the breakthrough of AI, as it gives the general public an idea of what is possible. But at the same time, it's just one facet. I see it as the gateway drug to the world of AI. You use it and immediately want more."
It was exciting to see that large and small market players are engaging with the topic and have ambitious goals. We are also delighted with the new insights and impressions we gained at this conference. They encourage us in our efforts to drive forward innovative solutions in the insurance industry.
