This course offers a holistic introduction to the world of web development and focuses on modern technologies and frameworks. The aim of the course is to give participants the tools they need to create interactive and appealing web applications.

What will you learn?

  • Technologies of the Web: Build a basic understanding of the fundamental technologies and workings of the WWW, including HTTP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Flask: Learn the basics of the Flask framework. This includes routing, but also the use of HTML templates with Jinja and the integration of databases.

  • FastAPI: You will learn how to create robust and scalable APIs with FastAPI and Pydantic. The course teaches best practices for the design, documentation and testing of APIs.

  • Gunicorn: Learn to deploy web applications with Gunicorn.
