10 Years of ITnet Thüringen: An Anniversary with an Eye Toward the Future

FIDA has been a member of ITnet Thüringen for many years. We were therefore all the more delighted to celebrate the network’s 10th anniversary together at the Dompalais in Erfurt. We were also able to actively support ITnet during the event.

The evening began with a champagne reception, followed by a panel discussion that kicked off the official portion of the event. Together with two founding members, Wolfgang Tiefensee, former Thuringian Minister of Economic Affairs and Science, and Katrin Wiebus, Head of the Economic Policy Division at the Thuringian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture, and Rural Development, looked back on the past ten years and the development of ITnet.

This was followed by presentations of various flagship projects and recognition of outstanding achievements. It became clear just how important networks like ITnet are for knowledge exchange and the development of Thuringia’s IT landscape.

In addition to the official program, there was plenty of time for personal conversations and exchanges with other members and guests. For us, the evening was a great opportunity to nurture existing contacts, forge new connections, and discuss current topics and developments in the industry.

The anniversary was also celebrated in style with culinary delights. In addition to a communal buffet, a special highlight awaited the guests: the ITnet cupcake cake.
